99 days - FOOOOOD!

Any great Party needs... people you love, music and FOOD!
Lots of food! And the unhealthier the better.

Thinking about what to serve... And getting super hungry in the process. Gotta go eat some tortilla chips.

100 days to go!

Forgetting about tasks and plans and budgets
and 2 do lists for a while.
Life is amazing. Love is amazing.
Enjoy it.

Song of Songs

Let him kiss me with the kisses of his mouth: for thy love is better than wine.

My beloved spake, and said unto me,
Rise up, my love, my fair one, and come away.
For, lo, the winter is past, the rain is over and gone;
The flowers appear on the earth; the time of the singing of birds is come, and the voice of the turtle is heard in our land;
The fig tree putteth forth her green figs, and the vines with the tender grape give a good smell.

Arise, my love, my fair one, and come away.

O my dove, that art in the clefts of the rock, in the secret places of the stairs, let me see thy countenance, let me hear thy voice;
for sweet is thy voice, and thy countenance is comely.

My beloved is mine, and I am his.
Until the day break, and the shadows flee away, turn, my beloved, and be thou like a roe or a young hart upon the mountains of Bether.

Lost track of Days - Invitations

Yeeei,
a friend who is über talented at layout and stuff like that agreed to do the designs for the invitations... Like everything else they are gonna be simple, but nice... since we need them in FIVE DAYS! Aaaahh!
Here's how I would like them to be, and also the wedding in general
rather/more/better is

international than traditional
crazy than strict
cool than elegant
fun than graceful
creative than expected
chaotic than boring
simple than pretentious

We Have Hope

Unexpected turns...

Life is beautiful, powerful and fragile.
My family had planned to go to the US and spend Christmas with my Grandmother. The plans abruptly changed yesterday when my Grandmother passed away.
We are still going but instead of spending two weeks with our Grandma we are attending her Memorial Service.
This of course makes me incredibly sad, since I haven't seen her in ten years and I was longing to see her again, spend some precious time with her, catch up and also introduce my fiancé (not in person since he is staying in Sweden, but with pictures and an incredible amount of talking about him).
But in all of this there is comfort.

1 Tess 4:
13 Brothers and sisters, we do not want you to be uninformed about those who sleep in death, so that you do not grieve like the rest of mankind, who have no hope. 14 For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him.

In loving memory of Lois H, my dear Grandma.

107 days to go - The Priest

This beloved and Stylish man of God, who happens to be a Pastor for a fast growing international urban Church... Made us very happy when he agreed to be our Wedding Pastor.
Thank you and much love.

108 days to go - The Church

Since our wedding is about family & friends, having fun and celebrating love; We booked the first place we could think of. Our church which is a renovated underground GARAGE, down town. It's all concrete and graffiti. But we love the place and it's gonna be perfect.

My dear fellow planning-a-wedding-people, my one advice: RELAX! You could have a disaster in the most spectacular church or fancy restaurant.... just as well as a complete success at a dump.
With some fabric and left over Christmas lights... or whatever, you can make any old place look neat and fairyland wonderful.

Cheap & Cool

Pick a color theme, stick to a few colors and then you can go crazy second hand and flea market shopping for cool and unusual decorations.
A total + is if you can use the stuff you spend your hard earned cash on for more than 5 hours.

109 days left - The Budget

So, what is first... Invitations, location, a dress, a wedding cake?
Just realized... maybe we should start with making a budget. Well, that's totally eazy since we have like 100$ in our savings account.
The wedding can cost - next to nothing. But, fear not my bride to be (talking to my self). This is so doable! Just involve everyone you know. And add "meet my rich parents" to the 2 do -list.
I'm adding a boring page to the blog. Boring Budget.
If you're crazy in love and refuse to make money the dictating boss - You can still have the wedding you want.
A wedding is to mark a new beginning, a covenant made and a celebration of love. Who says you have to spend a crazy amount of cash.
We've decided our wedding is gonna be simple, crazy fun, short and sweet!

Let's make some calls!

Day 1 - 110 days to go - I'm getting MARRIED!!

So, I'm engaged.
And it is as wonderful and crazy as I dreamed it would be.
Everything is perfect. He is perfect. The propasal was perfect.
He loves me and shows me just how much in every way possible.
Only one thing... I've never given two seconds of thought to my wedding.
Okey, well I did, exactly two seconds, when I was twenty I thought I would never care about these things. I decided that I would wear my favorite jeans and serve pizza at the reception. I even told my mother, who cried for two days. And I've kind of stuck to that plan.
But now, a few years later the jeans are long gone and I'm actually getting married... in one hundred and ten days! And you know what, I do care.
So, this is the first step. I've decided to have a real wedding.
Hope you will follow me the chaotic, fun and crazy days to come!

Let's dooo this!
